Ingredients:
- 12 oz curly pasta (like rotini or fusilli)
- 1 lb hot Italian chicken sausage (casings removed)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 small red onion (diced)
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp dried parsley
- Salt & pepper to taste
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta: Boil the curly pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

- Sauté aromatics: In the same skillet, add the diced onion and garlic. Cook until fragrant and softened.
- Make the sauce: Pour in the crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, heavy cream, red pepper flakes, basil, and parsley. Stir well and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine: Return the cooked sausage to the skillet and mix everything together. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
